Private, discreet addiction treatment for executives, business owners and senior professionals, in a villa in Hout Bay, Cape Town. Medically supervised detox when you need it, one-to-one care from one team, and never more than six clients at a time.
Many of the executives who contact us are still running their company or their department. From the outside, very little seems wrong.
Often it starts as a way to switch off after a long day, to sleep, or to take the edge off the pressure. Over time, alcohol, drugs or prescription medication take on a different role, and stopping on your own no longer works, even though the will is there. Because you are still performing, it can go unnoticed for a long time, by others and by yourself.
A residential stay gives you what a weekend off cannot: distance from the routines, places and people connected to the habit, and the time to understand why it took hold.
RevivoCare operates on a private-pay basis, and we do not inform your employer, your board or your business partners. Who knows that you are here is your decision. There are never more than six clients at a time, and the team that looks after you is the same from the first conversation to aftercare.
“Effective recovery work requires more than removing substances. It requires restoring structure, self-responsibility, and emotional clarity in a way that feels safe and achievable for the individual.”
If you need a medical detox, it is part of your stay: there are no separate detox fees, and detox medication is included. Throughout the detox phase you are under medical oversight, with 24-hour nursing following a personal plan that our doctor, Dr. Maryam Navsa, draws up with you.
Stopping suddenly after heavy or long-term use of alcohol or certain prescription medication can be medically risky. Do not stop or cut down on your own before you arrive; ask your own doctor for advice first. A detox is the beginning, not the end: afterwards, treatment continues with what lies underneath.
No single sign is a diagnosis. What is going on for you is something we look at together in the first conversation and at intake.
You can bring your laptop and phone, and there is good wifi at the villa. Whether, and how much, work is responsible for you is something we agree together at intake, depending on your situation and your programme. Your treatment always comes first: you step back, but you are not unreachable for what truly cannot wait.
Care typically includes:
• Individual sessions and group work, in a structured daily rhythm
• Evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), ACT, motivational interviewing and psycho-education
• Guided gym sessions, nature walks, meditation and movement
• Your family involved, if you wish
• A relapse prevention plan for the dinners, travel and long days where drinking used to be a given
A residential stay in a small private clinic suits some people very well, and others not at all. The programme fits you if you notice that cutting down or stopping on your own does not work, want distance from the places and habits connected to drinking or using, want to start soon without a waiting list or a referral, and value privacy.
If you need to reduce your use before you can travel, always do this with your doctor. RevivoCare is a small private clinic, not a hospital ward; complex histories are assessed individually, so that care is appropriate and safe. A stay is always voluntary.
For yourself, or for someone you are worried about. A confidential conversation helps you understand your options and the timing, without obligation. You can also call on behalf of someone else.

Our rooms and rates are listed on our rooms page. In a confidential conversation we talk through what fits your situation.
You decide, together with the care team. Our rates are per four weeks and you can extend if there is room. How long recovery takes differs from person to person; we make no promises about that in advance.
The first conversation can happen today. After a confidential conversation and intake, admission within days is possible, depending on availability. There is no waiting list and you do not need a referral.
Yes. Often it is a partner or family member who makes the first call. We think along with you about how to start the conversation, also if the person you are worried about is not yet sure.
You go home with a personal aftercare plan focused on relapse prevention, and the first days after you return are always supported. After that, support can continue online, in sessions we agree with you separately.
If you’d like guidance specific to your situation, our programme managers are available for a confidential conversation.
